“Big Cake Bake is a deliciously good reason to support Red Cross and raise vital funds for disadvantaged people. It’s as easy as pulling out your favourite recipes, getting together with friends and family and then eating cake! This year I’ll be making my ‘flourless chocolate hazelnut cake’.. So please join me this August and help bake the world a better place!”
Kate Ritchie is one of Australia’s best loved actresses, having spent 20 years as Sally Fletcher on Home and Away, a role which invited her into lounge rooms all over the globe and earned her two Gold Logies.
This time last year she was reprising that role after being invited back as a guest to help celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary. Beyond the shores of Summer Bay Kate has played the real life character of Judi Kane in Underbelly:A Tale Of Two Cities and appeared on Mr & Mrs Murder and Pete Helliar’s ABC drama, It’s A Date. After first taking on the challenge of breakfast radio in 2008-2009 she is currently back in the studio as one third of Nova’s Kate, Tim & Marty which is dominating the national drive slot 4-6pm weekdays.
In addition to supporting the everyday work of Australian Red Cross, Kate (a keen baker) champions our Big Cake Bake fundraising initiative
